ROLE
OVERVIEW
Aside from working on Zenbo, my main project during my time at ASUS, I also owned a few other projects in the ASUS ZenUI ecosystem as the main GUI designer. I worked with different teams of developers to implement all of these apps. You can find each individual app on the Google Play Store via links below.
ASUS ZenFit is a fitness app that tracks your daily healthy life for you. It includes functions like data tracking for workout, heart rate, sleep, food, and weight. My role in the year-long project included establishing ASUS IoT ecosystem and ZenFit's position, mapping out style guides for different IoT services, and executing all ZenFit visual designs.

I tried experimenting with different styles for the landing page to achieve a look and feel of a high-end chocolate box, a jewelry collection and a younger appeal.

Kids Mode allows users to select apps for their kids, set limited play time, and block websites that are not suitable for kids.
The concept behind this design is essentially a colorful imagination land and playground for children. When they are given the permission to use their parents' phones for a limited amount of time, I would imagine them to be excited and full of curiosity. Therefore, the adorably energetic monsters are there to guide children through their simple yet lively mobile experiences.
I also provided the choice of kids-friendly app icons, so the journey with the little monsters could be more cohesive and fun.

My first project that I owned at ASUS which I've designed, co-implemented and co-worked with industrial designers to best showcase the smart cover for Zenfone 2. I wanted to emphasize the unique feature of this swipe-sensitive cover and let users enjoy the ease of switching between different apps simply without opening their phone cover.

ZenWatch Manager enables seamless integration between Android smartphones and ASUS ZenWatch, and unlocks the full features of ZenWatch. It lets users pick their own watch face and allows for customization settings through their smartphones.
Prior to creating the visual design, I studied the needs and desires of smartwatch owners, and found that there were a few things that these people truly cared about: 1) personalization, 2) sense of individuality, and 3) something to show off.
I also found that the previous version of the app (for first generation ZenWatch) was solely functional. The overall design of the interface had very few emotional elements, and was mostly composed of the very generic blue color of the ASUS branding.
